About This Quote

When I was very young I used to think that a fallen blossom was a dead flower that had fallen from the tree and died. However, as I grew older and learned more about nature and natural sciences, I realized that there is much more to the story. A blossom is actually a flower that has developed seeds and mature petals. When it falls off of the tree, it does not die. Instead, it spends its time in the soil, germinating and waiting for the right time to give up its seeds and mature petals so it can take it's place as part of another plant.
